Oh, me too please, I was thinking of going there at some point this year. A lot of money so want to make sure!

yes but not with my own horse. went twice and had a great time, includign lessons with both Jane and Chris which I didn't pay extra for (i.e. l had paid for standard instructors but got them

)

Both times I went in about April when its really quiet once with a group of friends once on my own. Would definitely go again. I have heard mixed reports but seems very dependant on your level of rider....

i.e. I went with them knowing I was preparing for the Talent Spotters old style final (which only 6 riders reach) and I was most certainly prepared by the end

We'll I went with a friend a few years ago and we had a great time!

Firstly, I highly recommend staying in the house as it's really comfortable and the meals were amazing! The most fabulous food ever!

We didn't take our own horses and obviously riding 'school' type horses it was always going to be a mixed bag - but I rode one of Chris Bartle's ex-advanced eventers that I loved. I would say though that I got most out of the individual lessons I booked, above and beyond the standard course.

Overall I'd describe it as a really fun 'holiday'. I'm not sure it would be the ideal destination for serious intensive dressage training, unless you only booked the one-on-one lessons.

I would def recommend going there but rather than do a course book private lessons specific to you.

I can wholeheartidly recommend Jane. She is slightly mad but great!! I believe she is judging the YH class at Myerscough premier league so you could always pop along and meet her.

I got my AI up there approx 10years ago, I still train with Jane and she comes and helps me at some of the big shows ie the Nationals. She is great fun, she can really teach 'feel' and she is not afraid to get on anything and show you what she means,

agreed the lessons I had with Jane were fantastic and she taught me more in a 45 min private lesson than I learnt in years, all very simple things which made such hugeeeee difference, and even in the group lessons she was just as good. also agreed she slightly mad but it only makes her a better teacher!

if I didn't live so far away I would happily pay for regular lessons with her.

Haven't been but we have Moray from YRC to come down and teach us every 3 months (he travels half the country to teach our RC). I would definately reconmend him. There has been a big difference in the neddy and my riding. He understands the horse - which lots of instructors don't. I pay quite a lot for the lessons but definately worth it. Can't sing his praises enough!
