Anyone have any suggestions for intensive hand moistursing therapy?

I currently use Crabtree & Eveyln hand creme as well as their hand exfoliator stuff. Have used these for just over a year now and on the whole they've been great, but my hands have been getting a bit of a battering recently with the weather and much more riding (currently one of the mass unemployed!) and they're not just getting through the very dry skin.

In the past I've also used both types of Clarin's hand moisturisers but in the interests of keeping things low cost, I just wondered whether anyone had any home-made/cheap receipes for intensive moisturising?

I use a Beelief Emmoliex, made by a little firm in Wales, you can but it online at a couple of places or they attend a few shows and country fairs. Not cheap but you don't need a lot and it lasts all day, so a £20 200g pot lasts me months.

Tesco's own brand hand/nail cream (pink tube) is surprisingly good and only 49p or thereabouts. Key is to keep putting it on regularly during the day.
If pushing the boat out, the shea butter hand cream from L'Occitane is great.

udsal which is what farmers use on cow's udders to keep them soft and prevent cracks is brill and comes in a tub that will last for ages. From agricultural merchants. That's why dairy farmers have nice hands!!

E45 cream. A big pot from the chemist and its cheap as chips. I find its the only thing stopping my chapped hands from spliting at the moment.

not long ago my hands were awful. The skin was peeling off of them where they were so dry.I brought the neutrogena one which is the one used by fisherman and within a week my hands were back to normal and I have continued using it with no problems since.

I used sudocrem - smear it all over hands, put gloves on for 15 mins and it all soaks in and makes hands soft and helps heal cracks etc - fab stuff, and its cheap and a little tub lasts ages!

The body shop hemp hand restorer is a lifesaver for sore chapped hands. I always had a tube with me when I was at Brack- as my hands got so sore and chapped that they would crack and bleed.

Great stuff.

Another vote for Body Shop Hemp cream!
