Was amused by the news of interdressage running a bareback test (won't be doing it on my ned, way too narrow! ouch!).

Has anyone done any interdressage? Is it good? Basically I do a lot of BSJA and BE, for BE our dressage does let us down so I want to improve - thought this might be useful. I assume they send you your sheets back?? And what sort of prize money do they offer...? Im confused by their levels, so any idea what level I should do considering I do novice pure dressage?

My friend has done a couple on my mare while my back has been healing. It is good. Most people who do it would normally do unaffiliated low level comps. You send them a video of the test and they email you back your marks and comments. There is normally a walk and trot test, a canter test is prelim level and theres a more advanced one which involves shoulder in, leg yield I think.

My yard Bromson Hall is in the winter league. Most of the people who do it havent done any dressage before but feel confident enough having a go at home. Those who have transport and go out to unaffiliated/affiliated comps elsewhere dont enter.

Prize money is something like £10 to 1st placed senior/junior, £8 for second etc.
