Interdressage?

Has anyone used or use Interdressage when they can't get to shows? My mum's friend is having a go and it has got me quite interested so any comments would be appreciated :)
 
if you are a serious competitor id recommend dressage anywhere as they use proper BD Tests & listed bd judges, where as interdressage make up their own.

We use dressage anywhere as a training aid and in between competitions, its good to get a different judge perceptive. The feedback is very good, and always judged by a well known list 1 judge so far!

Rosettes and prize money if you do well as well! Good fun!
 
Just been looking at this month's entries on Interdressage (to see what kind of level people are at) - and the starter type classes look encouraging, so at least I know I could have a go without shaming myself too much lol! Would be nice to see the judges comments along with the videos, not sure whether they're made public though.
 
OOh interesting thread, I'd forgotten about this but it's yet another on my list of things I want to do. And this one is much easier to organise as you don't need to travel. Def one that I will have a go at before I get back out doing real life dressage - haven't done a dressage comp all year so v ring rusty.
 
Does anyone know what the most basic tests are on Interdressage? I see there are Walk Trot tests, but does the test letter A, B C depict the level of difficulty? There are so many tests on there it's difficult to know what the best one is to go for.
 
I started using Interdressage a couple of months ago. Would have been interested in Dressage Anywhere, but horse goes much better in a pelham and the former allow any bit :-)

Anyway, I'm not too sure about the letter denoting the level of difficulty: I did Walk, Trot and Canter entry level B last month. The test for the same class this month is entry level C - I wouldn't say it looks more difficult.

Oh, and the feedback is great, very detailed. They do indeed provide exercises for you to try. The first month I got muddled up and entered the open Starter class (def not ready for that yet) and came stone last, but the feedback was still encouraging and really constructive. Seem to have done better in the Nov test, so entry level is def my comfort zone!
 
As previous post said i prefer dressage anywhere, it uses proper bd tests and judges, but also id be careful with interdressage. They use their own tests, and they are quite weird, one walk trot test, has leg yielding!



Dressage Anywhere all the way!
 
That's absolutely true, jenz87. Some of the walk and trot tests are quite demanding. And Dressage Anywhere may be the best option for those wishing to go out and compete BD.

But I have specific reasons for my Interdressage preference, namely: I can use my tack of choice; and I'm not too troubled by learning BD tests etc., as I have no chance of going out to compete.
 
I've done one Interdressage test, was very impressed with the feedback I got, not only did they do the scoresheet but I also got a good few exercises suggested to me. And I got a pretty rosette :D
 
Yep i have with my previous horse. Was brilliant, good feedback from judges. However, i havent entered with my new boy in fear of being a little embarrassed. I watched a walk and trot class a while ago and some of the entrants look like they were capable of doing elementary!

LOL I think I might just bite the bullet and have a go - could be humiliating, though I did see one person riding a pony leave the arena at an inappropriate moment - I pretty sure at least Saf wouldn't do that!
