Job title: Merchandise Planner - Ride Away, based in Handforth Cheshire

I thought H&H would be a good place to let horsey folk know, it's not very often a 30k job comes up in the horsey world!!

If it the same ad I saw on total jobs I think it's kind of funny the description says experience of the equestrian field desirable but not essential!

My friend sent me the link to this one at Chatsworth:

Stables Maintenance Person
Part-time
An interesting opportunity has arisen within the stable at Home Farm, Chatsworth which would suit someone comfortable around horses and able to undertake general stable management duties and simple maintenance repairs.
You would assist the grooms with the general yard and paddock maintenance as well as stable management including mucking out. You would also undertake minor repairs and assist in the upkeep of the fences and stable area plus topping and weeding of the fields.
This is a permanent role working 12 hours per week over four days; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with flexibility to work weekends.
The following skills would be an advantage in the role but are not essential:-
Some general horse knowledge, although there is no horse riding with this position.
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance for routine repairs of machinery and maintenance vehicles.
Pesticide training will be provided for the successful applicant.

The job title made us laugh! Should have called it 'Equine Residence Cleanliness Operative' Doesn't say what it pays, but I don't suppose it's quite in the same league!!

Interesting - Ride-Away are currently based near York. Their assurances that nothing will change to the current retail or mail order operation may well be true but expansion is clearly on the cards...

Yes but haven't Pets at Home just purchased Rideaway? It could be pets at home advertising as they intend to shake it up... I would think that adding a company like pets at home in the mix would make it even more stressful!
