I particularly like the 'Thoroughbred' (Chestnut with the number 15 sprayed on its side) - read the caption then see how you rate the expertise of the person posting these.

seem to be...the "indentity numbers" the rescue services put on them seem to match, as do the colouring of the horses in various footage thats available for anyone to see....

as for knowing the person who took them, and whether they know these photos are on here.....i've no idea...but they are on a public photo website, so chances are they might.

you dont need to be literate to use a digi-cam, S

and i'm not sure what that has to do with the condition of the ponies either?

[ QUOTE ]
interesting that they didn't upload any of the photos of the dead ponies

[/ QUOTE ]
Yep,and there ARE dead horses, thats for sure.
Would really like to know who took these and why there are up on the net in someone's photobucket.
Without a few of the how and whys answered they just make more questions....

The picture of a donkey lieing down in a bed, caption reading "Laying down on dead friends" Thats probably a picture of when they arrived...

I think she was being sarcastic there.

Well, my point was regarding the publisher of these photos;
1. They lack credibility in equine expertise if they think no 15 is any variety of Thoroughbred.
2. The pictures are of a limited selection of Amersham horses, in unspecified contexts - possibly at the rescue centres.
3. Photos of feed/hay/bedding proves nothing at all. I could show you a photo of lush beds for my horses...but they live out 24/7 so never set hoof on them unless ill.
4. I don't rate the RSPCA either as I think they have become an extremist animal RIGHTS organisation rather than animal WELFARE, coupled with a lack of knowledge and expertise of equidae. There should be a government funded body to liaise with the police and act as an intermediary between the horse owners in such cases, and the charities.

It is the farm but after the rescue started - so who put the straw down etc?

I think it is a bit sad the Fjords have now made it into the Pikey Meat Trade.

The photos are dated 14 Jan, although that may not be correct. The photos were taken with a Sony Ericsson K800i. Can anybody identify the man that appears in several photos?

I came across those same photos on Facebook when typing in a search on Amersham equines. All very strange, what is the person trying to prove exactly?

I posted on OE board. If the horses photos were taken on 14th jan - and "nice clean beds!" on 11th Jan - even if Erricon date incorrect - these dates do not make sense!!! If the 14th dated ones were 5 days out - why would they have been photographing the stalls BEFORE the incident.

interesting however the fact remains that ALOT of dead horses were found here.
The picture of the "lush bed" doesnt look to me like a horse has stood on it? And not one of the bales of hay is open.
The first pics are taken with a camera phone but the donkey one is from a different camera - perhaps showing the donkey now. Maybe they were starving however look at there feet!
The pics of the coloured cobs- two or more are of the same cobs fat bum- there is no telling how long this one horse had been on the yard - it may have just arrived and again we cannot see its feet.
Also something about the numbers just doesnt look right to me
The appaloosa does not have a winter coat- i really doubt this pic was taken in January- and if it was the horse must of just arrived and been rugged up, no way has it been out.
"TB" again feet are cut off in the photo

In total these pics show about ten horses I believe around 80 were taken away?? where are the rest?

Unf**kingbelievable!!

The lengths these pathetic excuses for horse owners will go to to try and wriggle out of what they've done to those poor animals! The fact that for once the RSPCA actually DID something proves that those animals were grossly neglected. And I agree that if the poster of those photos thinks that number 15 was in good condition then they know sod all about horses!

I'd say hope they throw away the key, but the muppet who did this will probably just get a fine they won't pay and a ban from keeping animals which they won't obey.
