Was talking to a friend today whose sisters pony went severely lame at the w/e. Vet came out yesterday and diagnosed a rotated pedal bone (x-rayed) and said pony could never jump again. Also some arthritis?
Nothing to do with lammi apparently. Anyone ever heard of anything like this?
IS it correct do you think that the pony can't jump again? As unfortunately this is a fantastic all round pony jumping 1m+! HE's 15, so arthritis is not unlikely.
Just interested, as didn't think rotated pedal bone meant no jumping?

I think its the concussion which is bad for a rotated pedal bone. It might be possible to jump the pony but only on a proper surface. The vet should explain why he doesnt think the pony should jump again.
