My old mare who is 14 and has worked hard as at hunter keeps going lame. It’s happened 3 times now where I canter and jump her 1.5 miles with 6 jumps. She jumps and canter well pulls up walks for a little bit then trot on the road and is hopping lame. The lameness wears off if I trot her a bit further but not 100%. Call the vet out and she trots up sound on both ruins lunging on the hard. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Ah just when you said trotted up sound I wondered if she was lunged too as a hard surface can show intermittent subtle lameness. What about nerve blocking? Sometimes a change in gait shows (ie a previously "sound" horse moves much more fluidly) after blocking? It's the way one of ours was picked up.
