internet shopping = bad idea!

i ordered some stuff from my horse from a well known company over a month ago... one item arrived in 3 working days (it said expect 3-5 working days), another item arrived 2 weeks later, with a letter saying the other two items i ordered where still to be dispatched...... 2 weeks later still.... nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! arrrghhh what to do what to do!
also are tail rakes any good? i ordered one, still hasn't came, but do they work... my horse doesn't like his tail being pulled (a lot!!!)
 
yep well they have taken my money too.. all £70 worth... i wonder if its the same company... i don't want to name names... might be a bit unfair.
 
We usually name names on this subject. Helps us to know where to buy from! I won't order from Frogpool Manor or Longmelford Saddlery because I've had experiences like this and worse. I find Equestrian Clearance, TDS Saddlery, Rideaway and Derby House very good. Ocassionally an item or two will be out of stock with Derby House, but they arrive within a reasonable time when that is the case. If it matters, I ring before placing my order to make sure its worth me placing it. I haven't had this with the other companies mentioned though

I ordered a shredder and it was 3 months late arriving! No obviously I don't need it, but it will come in handy next year.

However, said company told me it was out of stock and asked if I still wanted the item and they communicated well, so I don't have a gripe.
 
I think if they take your money for something they know they can't supply it's technically fraud? Give them a call and throw words like "fraud" and "citizens' advice" around and see if that helps. I love complaining.
 
I just got a special order saddle cloth from "a certain company" after 12 weeks of waiting. My yard shop called them when I stood there and told them 1 story. I called them the next day and got a different story. Some of these equestrian industry suppliers need to be more professional in their approach.

The same supplier called up my yard shop the week before and asked whether they would like to place another order. The cool response from the staff member was "maybe when you have delivered the last order we can talk about a new one."

Familiar story - I've been waiting 3 months for a pair of spurs!!! Would have cancelled it but my friend put the order in, and they kept saying they would be here in a couple of weeks...
 
I hate it when other internet retailers give the rest of us a bad name! My family runs a small mail order/internet company and we pride ourselves on our customer service. We get several e mails every single week, praising us for our good service. Obviously, things can go wrong sometimes despite our best efforts but we always correct any errors immediately and we would never take money for items which we didn't have in stock. That is just plain bad stock control in my book. We're not all the same - honest!
 
whats your internet company? what do you sell? if you sell horse stuff pm me! i think abbey is quite good, except when they go on holiday! lol, no they have always been quite good with us!
