Just got home and we have pm's congratulating us.Thank you to those who were interested enough to look how we did.

Anyway,Dressage was on the new surface, very posh, loads of flowers and we were last [of 85] to go[yes 85 in it].He has to relax so we just slop around for the first 10 minutes[Partoow has taught me this] and I could see people looking at him and thinking 'what is she doing' then you start to take a connection and he remains soft and he starts to swing. He was being an angel. There were loads still warming up as the pre nov was still on and it was tight in the warm up arena but he was fine. The horse before me was being over cooked and the rider was being instructed quite loudly but I tried to keep out of her way and do my own thing. He did a really nice test, I could feel im bubble as we finished the free walk but we held it together, not his best ever test, but not bad.
I only had 20 minutes between each discipline so it was get back tack off, tack on, rush back as I got there they said'Only two left to jump ,so it was 4 practice fences and in. Bearing in mind he has not jumped at all for over a month due to the abscess he got in his foot and boxrest for 2 weeks and arena flat work only for a week. I kept him over short because if I had given him an inch over those fences he would have not bothered saying these are too small to look at, but he did a clear .
Straight back to the box ,boots changed me changed and straight to xc.Mum saw Hattikins and said 'Hi' for me. There were a couple in front of me so I got my breath back. I was worried that he had lost fittness because of box rest but he ate the course , as it was flat it was not too tiring and he finished with plenty of running and well within the time.
He was walked and washed and cold booted and we went to see the score .
He had 30.6 dressage and doble clear so was equal 5th but I was too fast so it made me 6th. Only 2 marks from winning. I think the first 15 were only seperated by a few marks poor dressage judge ,how do you mark 85 horses over two days. Very pleased ,he is in field with his girlfriend[ first time in 3 weeks]
The first 15 get a lesson with Yogi B.Plus we got feed vouchers.

Afew months ago I didn't understand why he was going so badly, Perisienne [sp] girl recom. global herbs,he is having super calm ,acid x and zephyr pollenex now. Loads supported me on here and Partoow stared helping with my dressage.THANKS TO ALL.
It has been a great day ,very stressful before with the problem with times but it all worked out.Was going to have a nice take away but too tired to get one and had bacon and eggs.Tomorrow have to go to RC dressage qual. with other horse and Rome for honeymoon on Monday.

Fabulous, a hugely deserved well done from me. And lessons with Yogi too.. *Insert green eyed smiley here*

Instructor came in the top half with a double clear. Be interesting to see what she thinks of the dressage score though (his highest ever BE)

Yes the coloured, we bred him.
It was a proper course but not too tiring as not hilly. He has a pad on one foot with cotton wool in the big hole from the abscess and I was worried he might slip but not a fan of studs in hard ground and he never slipped at all

You are all very kind. I hope it gives those who are having problems a bit of hope.It has been an up and down journey this year and to have an abscess 3 weeks before was just so hard.He is entered for Gatcombe novice in Sept[ his first novice as I can do the military section] might try to fit something in between.

Brilliant result well done - it is certainly hotly contested getting there with regionals and then the finals so you have done amazingly.

well done!!!

I hate to say this but the person who won is my trainer!! I am based with her and I owe everything to her. She is an amazing rider who has never had the opportunities to ride at the top level she deserves.... until now with Leo, a bloody class 5 year old who will go to the Olympics. Im only allowed to hack him out!!! She now has 2 children, but is an awesome person who deserves this.

Anyway... really well done - just thought I would give Nat a congrats too
