Intro Eventing.

I plan to start eventing next year with my ex racer.

I know only litle bits and bobs about eventing, usually about Badminton etc, I've only ever showjumped and done really basic dressage tests. I'm completely new to this but I would love to try it.
So, what height can I expect the fences to be? in SJ and XC? and what would be in the dressage test?
I feel ever so slightly stupid for asking probably a very simple question

But can anyone help?

That link takes you to the "About the sport" information from British Eventing.

It has down-loadable rule books, etc and you should be able to find out everything technical- Including fence heights for intro, pre novice, etc.

You could also look up the events list on the BE website and go to one near you just to watch. You'd learn a lot that way, or if you know anyone who is eventing go with them and give them a hand on the day. Then you'll know what to expect.

Agree try and get to as many events as possible so you know what to expect. The courses can quite often look bigger than unaff 3ft courses for example, but thats because they are normally better built and more solid looking!! If your jumping round a XC and SJing course at 3ft and can do a basic dr test you will be fine
