Heres mine:
Lucky, show name Just My Luck - 14.2 Welsh cross mare, 16 years old. Previously been in a riding school and in 3 private homes. She was petrified of buses, lorries, tractors etc but is getting there slowly but surely. She's a very good nanny in the fields with other horses. She's also very strong and has a huge habit of setting her neck and going if she wants to go somewhere! I had her on loan from September 2009 until June 2012, June 24th 2012 I brought her.
Willow, show name Wind in the Willows - 14.1/2 (currently) traditional cob filly, 18 months old. Brought from a friend when she was 5 months old and was completely unhandled - took us 4 hours to even catch her, ended up going back for her the next day as didn't want to stress her out. She's coming on in leaps and bounds - is bombproof in traffic, isn't bothered about leaving the herd or being left, loads, stands to be bathed, has been shown, stables etc. I had Willow on lwvtb on January 1st 2012 and brought her on April 28th 2012
Blossom, show/registered name Longthorns Shannon - 14.1 Welsh Section D mare, rising 7 years old. On loan from a friend, I've had her since August 17th 2012 and she was also very nervous when I first had her. We had to section her off and always take bread out with us to catch her, but even then it was hit and miss. She'll now 99.9% of the time come over to you in the field and is a gem to handle. She's been shown by me at 3 shows so far coming home with 2 1sts, a 2nd, 4 3rds and a 5th plus numerous qualifiers.
Sox, show name Saucy Sexy Sox - 14/14.1hh Welsh cross (we think) gelding, rising 16 years. My boyfriends mom brought him in May 2010 and my boyfriend took him out showing that summer, he was then ridden occasionally over 2011 and then ended up been attacked in the field in May 2012. He can no longer be shown but I've got him on loan to hack and take on fun rides. He was unsuccesfully loaned out 3 times last year and also lost quite a bit of muscle and condition so I'm working on getting that back. I've loaned him since January 1st 2013.
What he used to look like
My boyfriends:
Ben, show name: Big Ben Strikes Ten - 17.1hh ID x TB gelding, 11 years old. Previously been in Ireland and is very nervous at times - he shakes from head to toe if he gets worried/nervous/scare and used to be a pain to catch but now he's 99% fine. Ash has had Ben on loan (from a friend) since May 18th 2012
Seppie, show name Diamond White - 15.3 Anglo Arab mare, 27 years old. Also previously in a riding school, then sold to a private home. She's also competed at BSJA and BD previously. We (unsuccessfully) loaned her out twice in 2011 - once we had her back as she was been neglected, the 2nd time she wouldn't settle, shes now back with us and is on part loan to a young girl. She may be 27 but certainly doesn't act it and is very quick when she wants to be! Ash has owned Seppie since May 2009
