Hi,
My new young horse has jumped out of her adjoining paddock to join our other 4 horses just a couple of days after arriving. They have now been together for 3 days.

She has just started bullying the elderly gelding who is the leader of the herd. I managed to get him out of the paddock today. Should I separate them or let them get on with it? He isn't even trying to fight back

With mine I left them to it but I did take his rear shoes off in case he kicked her which he did, it took them ages to settle but now are best friends with it being an elderly horse though I dont think Id risk it

Could be your old boy is going down hill and he'd like a quiet life. If she and the others are happy and your old boy is happy on his own and perhaps he'd like a one to one tender care.
