Introducing a new pair of rabbits to my house.....

And will this cause referred aggression in my current pair?

I can't seem to find the answer online so would be grateful if someone can help (can only find an answer for trying to bond a trio which isn't what I want)

I have always wanted a pair of mini lops and the opportunity has arose for me to finally get a well bred and healthy pair. These rabbits would be living in the same room as my current ones but in a completely different cage and have playtime at a completely different time. Can anyone see this causing a potential problem with referred aggression?

If the pairs can see or smell each other then yes, it could cause referred aggression as they could still feel they have to defend their space. A lot of it depends on the personalities of the pairs though, some will also actively antagonise the other pair.

I had a situation where my quad fell out into two pairs who had to time share a play area temporarily (couldn't see each other at any point though). This caused issues in the pair containing the dominant male. Within both pairs it caused a loss of litter training, with everyone scattering poo to mark their scent. Needless to say, my other half was not pleased!
