Still a baby, two year old TB x Welsh.... he`s done more than my CB did when i had her lol, he`s halter broken and well handled and was well looked after...not the sort i thought i`d see in Llanybydder ;)

Got lots of maturing to do but I`m hopinh to do some inhand with him next year and take it from there :)

Llandybydder horse eh? There are some decent ones that go through there, I've had some. Some people I know just prefer selling through the ring, less hassle than having all the fuss of private viewings.

Good time of year for buying. Promising looking sort, and in good nick too, good luck with him.

my first time there and i was surprised considering all the bad press.....the majority of horses were very very decent!!!

It isn't so bad there, you have to speak as you find though, I have been to some auctions that are dreadful in comparison, I loved going there (very much a social thing as well) and went most months for years. Some of the ponies in the pens by the rings are a bit sad, especially the babies (usually loads of shetlands by the tea van) I always got forcibly dragged away from them and was never allowed to watch the pony ring for fear that we'd end up with a foal in the back seat on the way home.

Sure you see some dross, and a few poor ones, but on the whole most are decent, case of caveat emptor as always though, generally I'd be happy getting youngsters from there though, especially if the sellers were known.
