After months of keeping an eye out for a pony for my girls, we’ve finally got him! I was far too nervous about the vetting to even write a post beforehand, but luckily he sailed through. They always say that the good ponies don’t make it the market, and in this case the owner mentioned in passing to a mutual friend that she was considering selling and 15mins later I’d messaged her! He was brought from England over to NI for her son to ride, but he doesn’t want to be a first ridden. Luckily he’s the perfect little lead rein pony, so hopefully he’ll give my girls a good few years of tootling about and having fun.
I’d said that personality was more important than looks; but personally I think he’s got both! (Can you tell I’m smitten?)

I like other people’s cute greys. As a committed buckskin owner I think owning a non-dirt coloured pony is going to be a steep learning curve!

Thanks everyone! My girls were both snotty grumpy grits when he arrived so it’s nice to get some enthusiasm!
Went for a dander up the road today. His bridle hasn’t been delivered yet, but I needn’t have worried- trucks, tractors and cyclists didn’t bother him at all; just as long as he didn’t have to get his feet wet he was happy!
