Hi all, I’d like to introduce my new mare Lulu. When I say new, some of you may remember her when I previously owned her about 4 years ago.
She’s 9 this year and I’ve been lucky enough to buy her back. I feel very lucky, weird how things pan out. I still miss Sox beyond belief but Lulu is bringing her own love.
She’s a Clyde x Sec D and we’re just hanging out getting to know each other again. She’s been doing a bit of logging with her previous owner and some hacking but I think, this last year or two, she’s done nothing.
I’m very anxious caring for her, due to Sox dying with grass sickness but I’m trying to soldier on.
Shes a beautiful mare, opinionated, loving, kind....all the things I remember about her. So..watch this space! Lol

Wow she is beautiful and huge! What height and weight is she? (Hopefully that dosnt come across as negative as it is not meant). Her colouring is stunning.

Thanks everyone, glad you all like her. She’s 15.1 and I imagine about 600kg but I’ve not weighed her as yet. Lovely dapples is summer and so pretty. I always regretted selling her so she’s back now and that makes me happy. She’s a bit rough round the edges but I’ll have her looking spik n span in no time. :)

Thanks, it’s still a bit surreal to be honest. I’m still finding my feet at my new livery and now a new(ish) horse.
I’ll get a better routine as time goes on. I’m spending some time with her each morning, grooming and chatting, just enjoying the sun together. Then she’s out all day in the field with her new friend and back in of a night.
She’s still a bit anxious if she’s left alone but I’m working on that. Next job is to see how she is with clippers. All in good time.

I am so pleased for you - Lulu is beautiful!

Such a lovely story too. After losing Sox this was just meant to be. I hope you have many years of fun together. :)
