I would not start serious agility training until he is at least 12 months, you could do tunnels, carefully supervised dog walk etc but no jumping until he has finished growing. I look forward to the updates on his progress.

The dog club I went to do puppy classes where they put the dog walk flat on the ground, use the tunnels and poles on the ground to get them used to the textures etc. once they're 12 months old they're allowed onto some of the giant breed kit which is really wide, but also low to the ground. Maybe see if you can find somewhere like that?

I have always heard 12 months for small dogs and 18 months for large breeds before starting agility, but my club does a puppy class, which is mixed obedience, socialising and training things like contacts on very low equipment, and the start of weaves, and teaching them directions. I waited until my JRT was 12 months, but wish I'd started the basics sooner- maybe she wouldn't have such a see-saw phobia!
