Galileo (Leo). He's 5 months old. Mum is a Spottie and Dad ....who knows! I'm sure Mum knows but she aint talking :D

Will be needing advice from other Mule owners re feeding etc.

Oh, he is gorgeus!! Love his healthy shiny coat, and his face is stunning.

I've hardly ever seen any mules, they seem pretty unusual. Yours is a beauty.
 
He really is gorgeous! And is going to be big as well!:D

I have 2 little mules and they are such characters. Absolutely love them.

Try the mulesuk.freeforums.org to find some enthusiasts. Lots of information and advice.

OOoooooh NOoooooh snoozinsusan, that second picture of yours looks SO like the little chap born here earlier this year. We keep teasing the owner that he's a mule (choice of Welsh or Donkey stally). He was born with faint zebra marks and a cross on his back and still has the most amazingly woolly bum. We've always reassured ourselves because he has neat little ears - but so has yours!

Fairynuff, he looks like he's going to be a very big lad. And oh so cute!

I was going to say "Oh ****" but the vet was out today to check for his crown jewels (present and correct and now scheduled to be removed) amongst other things and even he admired the little chap so whatever he is he will have a useful and enjoyable life. His owners think he's pretty perfect, which solves most problems:D
 
jemima_too Don't see why anyone should think "Oh ****" " on finding they have a mule!..Should be honoured! ;) but then I'm predjudiced:D

Well first there was finding the newly-bought mare was preggers, then there was the not knowing which stally was responsible, then there was the three month window given for the dates, and our concern to make sure everything went well (three months of two hourly checks anyone?) and of course her own mother, having been sold as NOT in foal proceeded to drop a foal the first night in her new home, so we weren't expecting any definitive signs from her daughter, all of which somewhat clouds the judgement.

However, he is a charming chap who is rapidly becoming an easy boy to have around and as his owners adore him and have plenty of experience and really don't mind whether he's part donkey or part Welsh (a number of people have said it would be difficult to pick two more undesirable options :mad:) as long as he is happy and healthy he will have a longterm home. He's not going to be anything like as big as yours though:D
