Here is the newest addition to our family of cats, dogs and horses. Oona has been affectionally renamed "Bhuna"! lol
She has a fantastic temperament, her construction is superb. I've always loved long coats but couldn't have one when I was showing so now I have stopped, yippee! here she is!

i like the dog, but that breed is deformed the original german shepherd had a slightly more straight back that didn't slope, causing them to have stronger back legs

Bit of a sweeping statement Scotponio! Whilst I do agree that she is standing slightly over angulated (probably due to the hand on her croup

) the standard says higher at the wither, a straight back from wither to croup without a slope is incorrect. Marinita, why don't you post a pic of her unposed to show what I mean. I know what you mean about long coats, although my latest pup is correct coat I was secretly hoping there would be a l/c in the litter, strangely they always seem to have the best construction don't they

Just sneaked a look at your website, she goes back to Bedwins Gildo, who was the sire of my beloved Chaka, and is in the pedigree of both Evie and Buffy, gotta be good

Scotponio - I think that was a little bit rude. For one the dog is being stood up and secondly there are a lot of GSD owners & breeders on here who would find your "that breed is deformed" comment rather offensive.

Marinita doesn't post in here that often and that's not a very nice welcome for her is it.

You will get used to "deformed" comments about Shepherds Nijinsky, you just have to learn to ignore them.

I agree it was a bit harsh on Marinita who is obviously chuffed to bits with her new girl but I expect she has been in GSDs long enough to know some folks will always have an opinion.
The other comment than always p***es me off is the people who tell you their dog went off its back legs in old age with HD. In 90% of those cases it is not HD it is CDRM but they won't be told.

Here's a pic of Bhu stood naturally, as you can, she doesn't look "deformed". She wouldn't stand still on the first pic, hence the hand on the croup as murphysminder commented on, also her leg is overstretched, it should be at a 90 degree angle, wasn't easy getting pics when she just wanted to go play with her new friends.

She is a really nice type

I still haven't managed to get a decent pic of evie in stance, have got a friend who is an ex prof handler, going to get him on board to assist I think.
Oops. Just realiseed I'm on daughters comp, its Murphysminder here.

Not sure where you are based murphy's minder, shopshire or liverpool but if you come up to Liverpool then I am just a few mins from junction 26 on the M6, I would help you get pics no prob! I used to be a handler myself both dare I say it "middle of the road" and "german" types of showing.
How is evie bred? name of her parents etc. She may even go back to my breeding! lol

I'm on my daughters log in at the moment, she's at Liverpool uni, I'm down in Shropshire. Evie is by Ole v Fichtenschlag (Zamp) ex Mirrwood Witchy Woo (Flipp v Arlett x M Nua, Nua goes back to Gildo). Steve Foran bought his first bitch off me in the earfly 80s which is why I went to him. I think I probably stopped showing about the same time you started, last dog I campaigned seriously was in 82/83.

Aw, she is a sweetie, lovely red gold! Makes me really sorry we didn't hang onto our long-coated Enya a few years ago...

To the ill-informed commenter - once again, an open invitation is issued to our (or any, there are plenty of them around the UK) working club to see all the crippled GSDs hauling themselves around, dragging their weakened back legs...
