Just a few pics of my new mare, she is rising 4 14.2 section D and is completly unhandeled up untill last wednesdy she was running wild in a small heard of farmers ponies and as she was empty this year the farmer asked if i would break her in to sell on. Please ignore the feet and snotty nose, but any other comments welcome!!
First Bridle went on today and she now just about ties up but still iffy at times so hence the 2 headcollars!

Thanks everyone! hopefully will have some ridden pic's soon (ish) also cant wait to tidy her up and have her looking slightly more presentable!

Aw she's lovely.

One comment though -and please don't take this the wrong way cause obviously I don't know you or your mare but I get the shudders with the 'hopefully get some ridden photos soon'.

She's still very young and obviously unhandled. She has masses and masses to learn just about life, people, stables, brushes, farriers, rugs, long lines, vets etc etc long long before I'd put under a saddle.

TBH I would have had her teeth done before even putting a bit in her mouth. If her teeth are long and she's sore biting her won't be a positive experience and she could probably do with as many of those as possible first.

As I said please don't take this as a lecture just an observation.

Good luck - she looks like she will definitely be worth the effort :)

gosh they are the same colour! i am not sure what she is down as, will have a look tommrrow as the passport is up the yard, yours looks lovely btw!

She is stunning, going to be a right head turner. Please don't rush her though, it sounds like she has had a bit of an abrupt shock after a sheltered life and is still very young to be learning things so fast. Hope she takes it all in her stride, but little baby steps might be better than big strides.

Good luck, nice looking mare - gotta love the welshies. Does look like she has spirit. Can't wait for progress reports.
I do agree however, with a few other posters who say ''don't rush her''. If she has been wild for her life up until recently, its a huge shock, so please take things slowly. These things if rushed do have a habit of back firing a bit, and mares are sensitive soles who don't take too kindly to things out of their comfort zone.
