I recently swapped from Spilliers High Fibre Nuts to D&H equivilant, as they were cheaper and the feed merchant only had them

As usual I gradually introduced the new ones with the old ones.

However, last week, lo and behold the feed merchant only had Spillers this time

and once again, I gradually (well as much as I could) introduced them.

WELL .... this week they have the D&H ones again ...... so I was wondering, as they are much of a muchness, is it really necessary to introduce them slowly

Very interested to hear some expert comments, thankies

As you have been swapping back and forth I don't think you need to introduce gradually as they were introduced a while back (if that makes sense)
If the horse had been on one for years and then you were gonna swap do slowly, but as horse is recently used to both then I don't (personally) think you need to do it slowly.
Oh and bloody feed merchants
