I am currently getting back into jumping with my horse. 4 months ago I would only TROT over a 2fter, an now can easily canter up to a 3ft by2ft spread, but I am not sure how to go about re intorducing jumps. I know it sounds really silly, but I am worried about over fencing him or me. We can not do fillers, although if they are a 1st fence they are usually refused.
Are there any good sites that give info about schooling over jumps?
My aim is to be able to jump at least a round of 2ft6 successfully by the end of the year, but certain jumps seem to freak him out (mainly the plainest ones) where as others such as ladders & oxers he will swallow up without even blinking as he seems better as going over than up if u get my drift.
Sorry if I'm a bit vague, just really wanting some advice. I do have an instructor, but need a bit of stuff to carry on with when he is away.
