He's a darling! A bit dim at times but he's a lovely dog to have around. They think he's around 18 months old and Viszla x Greyhound. He is extremely bouncy and enthusiastic which is sweet, a bit too mad at times when he's charging round the garden!!!

He didn't have a clue what stairs were when he first got here which was interesting as our house is upside down and there's stairs on and off of the patio in the garden:confused: He's got the hang of now though but he still doesn't look in control of his legs!!

He's been great on walks - pulls a little on the lead but is extremely friendly with all he meets. We tried a little recall work today and he was fab.

He's very foody which is helping with training however not so good with keeping him out of bins!! We turned the swing bin round in the kitchen so he couldn't get in it so last night he decided to pick up the lot and bring it into the lounge as if to ask how he could get inside it!!!

Oh, he is gorgeous:) I always like it when they come in and they have never seen the stairs;) no bad habits learned:D he has probably been living in a kennel, I wonder how he was hande din to rescue, could it be a typical case of what we have been discusing, someone has bred them for coursing perhaps as an experiment and the family pet part did not fathom:rolleyes:

Either way he looks like a nice boy:)

He's been in rescue for about 2 months i think, came from the stray pound in Wales when his 7 days were up. He's clean in the house but i think that's down to the rescue rather than living in a house before from what i can tell as they said the house training was hit and miss when he first came in and he hasn't had a single accident here.

I'd love to know his story - we always muse this with our other dog.

He's lovely :D
Are you fostering him for a set length of time, or for as long as it takes to find him a home?
Really nice looking dog :)

As long as it takes, we don't mind how long he is here but we will try to not get too attached. I don't think he'll be too hard to find a home for - he doesn't really have any issues although we haven't tried leaving him yet as he's only been here a few days.

He looks a bundle of fun, do you ever end up keeping your fosters? i would :) he looks to have a real friend ( black greyhound) xx

Whats his history?

This is his thread from the rescue:

Not really much known about him.

We kept our first foster (the white one) as we'd thought about a second dog and he wasn't very easy not to fall for. The day we picked him up:

But we can't really have three permanently so Rufus is just visiting!

I've got so much respect for what you are doing - personally I would not be able to hand them back so well done!

How lovely is Rufus? He looks so happy and at home - hope his forever home let him on their sofa - otherwise he'll be a tad miffed me thinks! :D

Lol yes, at the mo he only comes up when invited so long as we keep it like that we should be ok. He has helped himself to the bed quite a bit though, he becomes conveniently deaf sometimes!!:D
