Today I drove a very long way and came home with Tess........... 10 months old failed sheepdog apparently. Very lovely wriggly and sweet. Wary of new people but very doggy friendly. Instant love!! A little spooky but I hope love and positive experiences will help that. A big day for me (and even bigger for her!).

first two in the Rescue Centre - last one at my house, now sleeping aww

aww, she looks lovely. About the same age as my rescue who I've had 6 weeks now - seems like she's been here forever. Good luck with her.

Thank you everyone. Am so pleased with her. All pees and two poos in the garden (not house trained) :-). She is primarily a pet but will be going to obedience classes to see how that goes and when she's a bit older I'd like to try some agility with her. Just need to see how she gets on. I'm a dog walker so she will be out with me doing walkies and rounding up the stragglers too.

I know Tess very predictable for a collie lol. She was called Jess before but I've always liked the name Tess and this seemed like an easy name change. If her name had sounded very different I wouldn't have changed it but somehow it makes her feel more mine (bonkers I know). Mind you I have also put my old collie's tag on her collar because I felt it would keep her safe - even more bonkers I know!

Off now to introduce her to some more of the world!
