Introducing..

Hi all

Just wanted to introduce me and my pampered pooch Freddie!
He is a Jack-Russell, a teapot I think! He's rather small compared to other JR's I've seen!

Just a quick question,

He's still got his men parts and I do know that JR's tend to be yappy guard dogs anyway but whenever anyone walks past the window he dives up there barks, whines and runs around the house doing the same for a few minutes.

I think he's over guarding, asked tutor's at college (animal care course ) and they suggested taking his men parts off (poor lad!)

Mum doesn't seem to think he needs it, any suggestions on how to change her mind or keep my boy quiet?

He is lovely.

As for the guarding - well, he is a jack russell! Mine hasn't got his man bits and he'll still alret us to every noise outside given half a chance. We have to be really firm - the minute he heads for the door to bark, we stop him (block his path), and tell him that's enough, time for quiet. He needs to realise that you look after the house, not him - this is very difficult for terrierist brain to compute though!

He is a real cutie, my dog had his bits off and he has changed for the better, more loving. A friend came over this morning with her in season Lab. for a walk and he knew there was something interesting about her but couldnt remember.

Thanks for the advice too, tried that a few times he runs through my legs haha, so tiny! will definately keep going with it x
