My horse has torn his DDFT ( There is a thread below on this) and the vet has visited us this weekend and suggested that we use IRAP treatment. Has anybody had any experiance with this?
Mine had had IRAP twice. Once to help help with damage to cartilage within the fetlock joint (this required total box rest and very slow rehab, it was several years ago now but she had to have the injections at certain intervals) and the second time it was used to help hind suspensories that were suffering from the wear and tear of advanced dressage work (horse was kept in work and had an injection/top up as and when needed). Treatment was successful both times so I would highly recommend if you can cover the cost/insurance as I remember it wasn't the cheapest of treatments.
