Hello

Im new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could give me any information on an irish draught stallion Gleneven Rebel?

Has anyone got any horses out of him?

Janet George on this forum might be able to help you. Also, you could go on to the IDHS (GB) website and ask on their forum. Good luck!

Slight deviation but how do I find history on Irish draughts? I've had a quick look and search through the idhs gb and .ie websites and although I can get a little bit of info I'm not finding if that easy to search and it only goes back a couple of stages.

Would be interested to find out a bit more about Huntingfield Rebel, the sire of my 5yo. I've googled a bit and found a video and pic but maybe you guys know what's a good source of info on him, his record, and his progeny.

You need to look at the Irish websites, he stands in Ireland. From a quick look at his pedigree he seems to be a complete outcross, which is much prized in the ID world. None of the usual suspects there, Clover Hill, King of Diamonds...you can go back multi generations with his horsetelex pedigree. There's a facebook group - ‎Irish Sport Horses and Irish Draught Horses - with lots of owners of horses by this sire. Maybe they can help fill you in.

Thanks Irish gal. I was doing a bit more googling after this and came across Suma Stud where H R was, so have seen a few more pics of his sire. He died in 2014 I think. I did get in touch with my boy's breeder who mentioned he (or she might have meant his dam) was an 'outcross' and I meant to look up what that means, and whether it was a good thing or not! I'll continue perusing some sites for more info., thanks.
