Has anyone had any experience buying from the above.
Possibility I may buy a four year old from them but always wary of dealers so any thoughts good or bad much appreciated.

PM me is you wish - thank you

You have to know what you're looking for and get there the day new batches arrive. There are a lot of good ones but a lot of very mediocre ones and 'lorry fillers' too. I've bought a couple of fantastic showjumpers from them. If you don't have a lot of knowledge then take someone with you who does. They'll exchange within 14 days if you hate the horse once you've got it home. I'd deal only with David as he's always been very straight with me. Always worth a look but be prepared to walk away. Prices are always high but negotiable.

Echo Yodaii,

Seen a few come through David, some good, some not. To be fair the not so good were the cheaper ones. We have had a lovely little mare arrive at our yard from him a fortnight ago, super type and hasn't put a foot wrong.

Go with eyes wide open, get a vetting and don't expect a fancy yard when you get there! IMO only a suitable place to go for an experienced buyer

Experienced friend has brought a lovely young horse from there. Agree, there is some rubbish too, but same anywhere I think. they can be alot greener than advertised though.

very close to where i live. As everyone has said, go with eyes open and ask lots of questions. They would not lie but might not tell you something if you dont ask. They do get some very nice ones in there. I know loads that have come from there and cant think of any real nightmare stories to be honest.

Ah! Del Boy David! He is ok actually. Agree with what everyone else has said. Take an expert and get it vettted. Ask loads of questions too!
He likes to make a quick buck so worth haggling.

Treat with caution but dont dismiss him.

I have been there a couple of times. The horses are ALOT greener than they would like you to believe (they dont actually lie). They have a Welsh rider (Byron) who petrifies the horses and very readily distracts you. Each time we went everything either had ring worm or was recovering. I bought a lovely little TB (I think he was a lorry filler) probably paid too much for him although I thought he was a bargain. They said he had done a bit of everything but I knew he was just backed! Don't regret buying him (although he will be PTS on Friday due to a non related injury) but wouldn't rush to go back if I dont want to gamble with my money or want something more established. But then you gamble when ever you buy a horse don't you?

If you are prepared to take a gamble you could go over to the sales in Ireland and buy something yourself. You could get a great few days away and a potentially cheaper horse. There is a risk that the horse might not be suitable but from what I read on here that same risk exists with many dealers. This is not a comment on this dealer who are probably doing an excellent job of screen the many horses that are for sale as youngsters over there.
