Just read in a post below of a pony having A green Irish passport, Buzz is also full Irish but has a Blue passport, I may be being thick but could someone explain the difference please???

Mine is green, she is a grade A ISH and DNA typed
I looked at two others that were blue passports and they were ISH but without the DNA typing.
I have never seen another green to compare the two, and that may be nothing to do with it, but just something I noticed.

White= no breeding but reg. with irish horse board
blue- one side recorded
green- full irish book, both sides recorded
blue- one side recorded
green- full irish book, both sides recorded

^^ what TH said. If your horse is on a blue passport only one side of his lineage is recorded.

Yeah Prince's is green and i was told that was because they had his full parentage

My previous pony (born in 1994) had a blue passport even though none of his breeding was known. They changed the colours a few years ago.
