Horse owners warned of theft
Horse and pony owners are being warned of the ongoing spate of robberies around the country. One of the most recent raids took place in Calverstown, Co. Kildare earlier this week at the yard of Margaret O'Dwyer. Included in the haul from her tackroom were four saddles and several bridles, along with rugs and smaller items. "They even took tail banages," O'Dwyer said. "This is a word of warning that thieves are very active."

A friend of mine in Co. Laois had several rugs stolen from her horses 3 weeks ago when they were in the field, so be vigilant.

Thanks for heads up - although they can take all the bits and pieces I own in the world as long as they don't take my horse

Its happening up north as well

There have been at least 4 reported in the Bangor/Ards area in the past 6-8 weeks - trailers, tack, rugs etc.
Agree with you tho - as long as they leave the horses in their stables and unharmed everything else can be replaced!

Horrid horrid people why cant they learn to earn honest money rather than take what i have sweated to buy.
Feel for these people as it happened to me a few years ago and i was devestated, nearly a total clear out.
