Am having serious difficulty finding grazing land to rent. Have put notices up in local shops, spoke to some locals etc. put leaflets in hundreds of letter boxes.

Do you have any other suggestions or know any websites that could help?

Many thanks in advance

Have you tried your blacksmith, feed shop, tack shop too cos they usually hear of something; or even knocking on farmer's doors? Might be an idea to put a notice up in the pubs too, even the church notice board/magazine if they'll let you!

Blacksmith/feedshop/tack shop all too far away, its not very horsey country. Good thinking about the pubs and church notice board, i'll have to pop down later tonight.

Thanks

I was really lucky & just knocked on doors - turned out the guy next door had no plans for the paddock behind his house....

are you a member of a riding club by any chance - good way to meet people who might know people in your area etc. - I reckon farmers tend to be much happier to deal with someone if they come through a contact if you know what I mean

The farmer next door is generously letting me use 1 acre, but this is unsuitable as I need to get a companion for my lad, also the 1 acre is not completely secure so my lad can't be out in it everyday.

And to add to the fun, pretty much the entire area is owned by the farmer and his extended family
