Irrational fears.....

How come I will gallop a horse I barely know up a rough track in Montana, but worry about walking down a driveway with my own horse that I have had for a year. I'm sure that doesn't make sense.

What things do you think nothing about and what little things do you avoid?

Jumping doesn't scare me in the least, never had an unsettling experience.

However thanks to my now sold youngster, i have a pathological fear of the dressage mirrors in the school. Think I'll have to have a big glass of wine to go past them, if I ever find another horse!

i will happily canter my horse out hacking despite the fact that he has a tendency to tank off with no control or steering but i get nervous cantering in the school and the more i think about it the more i worry! even though im in an enclosed space where he cant get up that much speed
