Is £40 enough?

I would be paying less than professional walking prices as presumably said teenager won't be investing in insurance or suitable transport for your dogs?

It depends on how much you want this particular teenager to walk the dogs!

If they are reliable, safety conscious, available at short notice if you have a crisis and could be trusted when you go away, then it would be worth your while to court them so they really appreciate the job. Some teenagers I would trust with my dogs and keys to my house, some not.

That being said, it is a higher price than I would have expected, but if you can afford it then why not?

Thanks all, I'll give her £30 a week so it fits with the 2 dogs from the same house twice. I walk them with mine 3 days a week and mum walks them the rest of the time. She's struggling with sciatica atm so trying to help her out.

Reliability is most important I arranged a professional dog walker to walk my lab at about 3 in the afternoon he didnt turn up to do mine but the neighbour said he walked hers at 9.30 in the morning. Poor girl was left from 9 9 without her walk She was fine but never again I have a young friend that walks her now and lives in if we are away she is a professional dog trainer/ behaviourist so very dedicated to welfare

Wind and rain, what a terrible experience. I wouldn’t have thought an unreliable ‘professional’ would stay in business for long by doing that. Word gets round very quickly.
