Would also say to take out the jumping 2'6 part - 2'6 is a little unimpressive considering the stamp of animal he is. Instead I'd put 'bold jump' or 'honest jump' or 'confidence giving jump' or 'jumps solid and coloured fences' - depending on which is most accurate.

I actually prefer the standing shot - looks to have a little more 'about' him in that photo, although the flat photo is also nice.

Good luck with selling him - I think the price is very fair.
 
I think he looks lovely in the second picture (very nice in the first one as well, but in the second there is real potential in his flatwork for someone to have fun with). I would also delete the 'currently being schooled' and say something about the shows he has been to.
He looks wonderful though, I am sure he will sell soon.
 
thanks for all the coments and papafrita that looks better.hopefully i can find him the right home,its just hard when youve had them so long when there part of the family.
 
I would also add how long he has been in his current home - something along the lines of "Been with us for x years and sadly for sale due to having to sell our land and stables".

I agree with this, and everything else that has been said.

He looks gorgeous and perfectly capable. If you could get him popping round 3ft courses, or even better, doing it at shows, he would sell much better I think. Lots of people want a horse they can compete locally and do well at RC stuff, and I think saying he is "being schooled" and only jumps 2ft6 makes him sound like a real baby rather than the quality animal he looks.
 
Both pictures would be ideal.
A 12 year old should be established by now in his flatwork. If he has done nothing much competitively then I think he is pricey at £3000.
You say he is nappy out hacking alone, well a 12 year old who has not done much in the competitive disciplines should at least be a safe sensible hack.
I personally wouldn`t touch a horse at 12 unless he was a schoolmaster, as a 12 year old is more than halfway through his peak performance part of his life, even if riders here can give examples of horses in their teens and twenties that are still ok.
Really the best is past.
If you sell him cheaper, you may be starting him on a downhill swoop though to inexperienced novices who wont be able to handle him, and then sell him on cheaper.
Why not keep him and turn him into what you want.
No horse is perfect and he is very nice looking.
Why are you selling him anyway?
 
the reason i am selling him and not the others is;i have a hunter who is my boyfriends and will soon start competing,i have my cob who i ride i couldnt sell her as she has side bone and ring bone so she would never pass a vetting and lastly i have a fell pony who is totally unsellable and she is the type who would end up in the wrong hands if i sold her as she would get sold on,so boston is the only one i can sell, if he was alittle bit bigger i would keep him for my oh but he too small,we have a while before we move so have the time to find him the right home,he would not be sold to just anyone,im sure the right person will come along who wants a nice horse to have fun on. thanks for the coments
 
Boyfriend's horse is surely not your financial responsibility though???? And in the economic stakes, doesn't it make sense to keep a horse you can do something with rather than (like the fell) something that you can't??
 
we live together and we both own all the horses,and i couldnt sell the fell as she is only small but is no good for a child so have no choice but to keep her.boston is the only one i could sell
