Is 215k mileage on a diesel horsebox too much?

I've found the perfect horsebox, in budget and exactly what I want. The only thing that is putting me off is the mileage- 215k to date. It's been a company box for an eventing stables so has been well serviced and MOT'd but that is a lot of miles... Would it put you off?

As long as you realise that it will cost you money to keep it going now and again and you have had a good mechanic look at it if it runs well I would chance it if it's a good price and exactly what you want.

As a driver of commercial vehicles that is nothing what size is it 3.5t or 7.5t? If the later it's not even run in as millage will be in kilometres works out low miles

As above, the odometer reading on a lorry is in kilometers so 215k is actually only 133594 miles which is nothing on a lorry diesel engine. Depending on the age of the lorry I would go on to say that the mileage is low. Lorrys are designed to do high mileage day after day, that's what they are built for. Normally when they are made into horseboxes the mileage vastly reduces as they only get used once or twice a week. Don't let the mileage worry you, it's ok.

If this is a 7.5 ton then I wouldn't be worried. If it's a 3.5 ton then I would check it a bit more carefully. Depending on the age of the lorry, that is a low mileage so I would think it could have been standing a lot - which means things can start to perish. Get it checked carefully before you buy.
