is 5ft7 to tall

my horse is a 15hh,on tiptoes:D,4 yr old standered bred VERY NARROW CHESTED iam 5ft7 &10st and only 13 am i to tall for him, whats the biggist hight he will take ?? i am wanting to go to local shows with him so looks does matter !!!

Please excuse weird get up - this is our day job, being a 17th century cavalry horse at an historic site. I am 5'9", horse is 15hh, narrowish Spanish boy. I don't think your horse will grow very much more; I'd be more worried that YOU will!

I wouldn't have thought you are too tall. I can't post pictures from this pc but on my profile there is a picture of my husband who is 6ft2 riding a 15.1hh cob, now he is a bit too tall but they were still placed everytime out in RC showing classes.

If you feel happy riding him then go for it, unless it is very close between you and another competitor your height is unlikely to make a difference to your placing as manners, individual show, turn out, conformation etc are likely to be given more importance.

At 4 I would have thought he might grow a bit in height, but he is almost certain to chunk up a bit which will take up more leg.

It depends a lot on the overall shape of the horse. I'm 5ft 8 and have ridden a 15hh cob that I felt too big on and a 14.3hh ISH that I felt fine on. I didn't really look too big on either. It can be as much about length of rein and set of neck as well as just depth of girth.
