Is a 3 hour walk too long?

As title says, ive got an 8 yr old collie and 2 yr old lab, want to plan a walk with a friend but he wants to do a long walk, would 3 hours be too long for dogs?
Mine are walked for at least an hour every day, longer at weekends.

For a fit dog absolutely not, the longest we've walked was around 6 hours and she would have done more.

Nope - Sweep is 14 and regularly does 2 and a half to 3 hours

No, I did a 3 hour walk a couple of years ago when Boomer was 14 years old, Bertie was 11 years old, Teagan was 8 years old and Skye was 3 years old.

Fine for a fit dog. Just take water, especially if it's warm (chance'd be a fine thing!)

my border collie comes out with horse for between 1 and 3 hours on regular basis - he is 11 and keeps up with horses at all paces - must do double the distance we do as he weaves back and forth behind us !

took him out for 1 hour up steep steep hill for normal "non horsey" walk - I was dying he wasnt even panting and looked like he was still waiting for the main event!

Mine do 3 hour walks every week. As Spudlet says, take water with you - enjoy!

Also regularly do 3 hr walks, couple of times a week, she loves her long walks especially with her doggie friends!
