Is a Charles Owen Pro II Silver going to be suitable for college?

Hi i really like the Charles Owen Pro II in Silver and i was wondering if it is suitable for competing in (with it being silver)

And also i am starting Bishop Burton College next September and wondered if it would be suitable for general use their? I would be wearing a black hat silk with it.

thats the hat that i use to compete, mainly bought it due to the colour, ideally the college cant say anything about it, as long as it has a black silk on it and its up to safety standards they cant stop you from wearing it
