I'm wondering how much you feed?
I'm using it as a partial hay replacer, and for a carrier for their supplements (when they arrive!)
At the moment they are getting approx. 1-1.5kg dry weight (soaked so really mushy, but not sloppy), and between this and their normal haynets, they are no longer requiring an extra haylage net on a morning ... but ... it is yet another thing which is on top of my livery, and I'm paying 25 a bag, which will last 2 weeks.
I like them to have a big bucket feed, with the Weisencobs, they really dive in... then have a break, eat a little hay, then go back to it, so they aren't troughing the whole bucket at once. I like the fact that I know the haynets are lasting overnight, so that is one less thing to worry about.
