Is an endurance saddle any good for general use?

It will be perfect for hacking as designed to be sat on for hours on end!!!

I bought one second hand for my cob and had it fitted to him; its the best money I have spent, had it 4 years now ( refitted every year) and I can ride for 3 hours without getting a sore bum! its really deep so feels very secure, I love it! Go buy ,they are ideal for happy hacking!

It will be fine so long as it fits the horse and isn't just something they 'threw in' to sweeten the deal.

Endurance saddles are perfect for hacking. If you want to do showing, hunting or a particular discipline, you will ultimately need a different saddle.

Thanks for the replies.

It's a decent saddle as it's the horse (and owners) competion saddle but can't be adapted for his new horse.

As a 52 novice I'm not going to be doing more than hacking at least at first so that sounds fine. If I progress beyond that I'll get another saddle.

What everyone else said. I have a Pathfinder endurance saddle, (for sale as too wide for my boy now) with a quilted seat and it's very comfortable for everyday use.
