As above. I have 4 medium sized girls and want another one or two maximum. I have a large old wooden coop set inside two joined huge walk in pens so I don't need a run just a raised large coop. My wooden coops always degenerate after a few years and they get a bit meh in general even when just cleaned. The girls have shade over part of their pen and hard standing and gravel as well as a large dirt area so they are well catered for.
I need a new coop really for the winter as old one is a bit sad now and falling apart. The eglu cube on a stand is the one I keep coming back to but then I wince at the cost. Any pleasant looking easy to build alternatives?

I had one of these; bought it "used" from someone at my yard.

Are they worth the money?? They're hellish expensive if you buy them new, I'll say that. However they really are easy-care - you can just water-blast them out and hey presto job done, which will mean you shouldn't get issues like Red Mite.

However, what I DID find with mine is that the locking mechanism on the wheels rusted out. OK so yes ONE person can move the whole shaboodle - even I managed it - it is like a lever catch thing which you press down with your foot which then lifts the thing up (cage & all) and you can then move it). Ingenious contraption. However what happened with mine was that this "lever" mechanism rusted out and it wasn't possible to easily move it. That said, you can purchase the spare part directly from the Omlet site; but you need someone who is a bit nifty with DIY to sort it for you.

I have the smaller "humped" version of the house now. Dislike it: because you cannot disconnect the cage where the chooks go independently. Bought it on ebay and will probably offer it on there too.

I sold my old Omlet Eglu cube: put it on Ebay - and even though it didn't have proper "legs" it still made a good price. So they tend to hold their value.

If you have a trailer or anything I'd personally look for one on Preloved or Ebay.

MyJods I don't need a run or anything just the coop on legs. It will live inside the two large walk in runs that are joined and go at the side of my house. They have a really big area to roam with paving, gravel and dirt/grass with covers and open areas. Did it in flockdown and it has been really good. If we flockdown again they can stay undercover.
