Is anybody buyer horses at the moment?

Yup! Sold my mare within a week, she's off to her new home this weekend :D

Once she's gone, I'll be looking to buy something else.

I think it does depend a lot on what you're selling though - especially in a tougher market, it's maybe easier to sell a 15.2-16.2hh 6-10yo allrounder(which is what my mare is) than say something 14yo+ or youngstock. I know that's what my I'm looking for, anyway! :)

Are horses selling? Yes. Desirable, well priced horses will always sell. I don't think the market is that bad - but IMO there are a lot of mediocre over priced horses out there atm.

As to whether you will get any calls about your mare - that's impossible to answer!

shes a 15.2 6 yr old snaffle mouthed stunner but difficult to load and seen as I am usually on my own therein lies my problem so hence for sale :( Pic on my profile that I used in the advert. Dont think I have overpriced her as she is quality £2900 ono? Opinions welcome :D:D

What's she like to ride, handle etc? Is the loading prob the only reason you're selling? If so that would be a shame as that's something that could potentially be sorted. To be honest you might have to get it sorted prior to selling anyway as that in itself might put folk off. Does she refuse point blank to load or is she just difficult? Has she competed at all?

Well I'd like to buy a 14hh pony but can't find one!

I think your mare is overpriced as she has an issue with loading. I would get it sorted first as suggested.

Its just the loading issue really. I have now got her walking in the trailer but she panics when I try and get the ramp up. She had an accident in a horsewalker when she was a youngster and I think this has caused the problem. She has competed once as a show horse before I got her (and she won as an intermediate). I want to be out there doing local riding club events and dressage but like I say I am always on my own or have my little girl with me so I just cant do it. Needs somebody with more knowledge and time etc to sort.

In that case you need to get a pro in to do it for you.

If someone buys her they need to load her to take her away.........

Thanks guys - I have considered getting somebody in but its finding the right person. If she was loading in the trailer I would be keeping her. Recommendations in North Lincolnshire area gratefully received :D

I reckon you could def get this sorted and keep her, as someone else said there will no doubt be an IH person near to you that could overcome this issue and it's certainly an issue that could make her unsellable atm - good luck :)

Get in contact with Debbie Fisher in derbyshire. I will find her no. for you, but she specialises in dealing with handling "difficult" horses and loading issues etc. :)

I found the number of a man in Lincoln who deals with this sort of thing so I have left a message for him to ring me.

Is it Garry you called? If so, he's really good and will get your horse loading calmly in no time. Garry helped me with my youngsters as yearlings and onwards and he has a lovely calm patient manner with him and the horses really like him. He will no doubt do quite a bit of groundwork on your horse before loading him/her. He is an Intelligent horsemanship associate though, he has nothing to do with Parelli.

I'm sure you and your mare will get on with him really well. He got to know my girls really well over the years and even held a spookbusting demo at my mum and dads place a couple of years ago. Would really recommend him and good luck with your mare. It would be a shame to part with her if her only problem is the loading.

Good luck - great if you can keep her. I have seen IH trainers work with and sort out some difficult loaders so I am sure you and your mare will be out and about in no time
