Hi,
I'm just trying to work out what is making the new pony have so much energy and be so spooky and i am wondering if it is the grass?
He was perfect for the first few weeks of owning him but now feels like he might explode when you ride him!
He has to live out, has no hay or hard feed atm and is ridden every other day.
There doesn't look like there is much grass in his paddock but was just wondering what people thought?
Also, is there anything that i could give him to calm him down?
Thanks for any help!

Ditto what Paulineh said. Our grass is still growing like mad, which combined with this odd weather is sending a couple of mine loopy at the moment too.

I've gradually introduced my two onto the winter field; Grass isn't too long, about three inches, but lots of it; Yesterday they both cantered on the road! one set the other off, but I couldn't stop, had to turn him up a field! naughty ponies :D

So yes they are both feeling very lively atm, not spooky, no change to the poo's as I did change them over gradually. Both mine are fed magnesium and have done for years, makes no difference to their temperament, just good for their feet.
