Is anyone else fed up of the rain !!??

I am absolutley sick of it !!!! The field just keeps getting wetter and wetter, whick means no jumping

i thought it was supposed to be the summer! One miniute the weather people are saying 'we going to have a barbeque summer!' next minute they say 'well august will be better' and now august is going to be unsetteled just like july has been!!!!!!! will we ever get those hot summer weeks this year? Anyone else feel the same way !!!!??

Because of it I managed to canter my girlie for the first time in three months on a hack tonight!! ( dosnt sound like much, but ive been good and kept to walking and little trots for AGES!)

We also didnt get harassed by flaming horse flys!

Sort of, but at least the ground doesn't get too hard. It dries out quickly if we have a few hours of no rain and some sun/wind- if it gets too hard I can't jump my old boy and its really pooey!
 
yh that is a point but i think i'd rather a big downpour for a day to soften the froun instead of unsettled weather for weeks!!!
 
its absolutely driving me mad, every morning getting up to grey skys, even more mud and having to wear the same coats i've been wearing all winter. the fields too wet to ride in, keep checking to see if shows are cancelled yet its so depressing. if i didn't have the horses i'd have packed my bags and headed south by now
 
Personally I think we've had it regarding nice summers. Climate change is happening and all we have to look forward to is rain, rain, rain, I honestly beleive we will NEVER have another settled summer again - I am giving up riding club comittee as it is too disappointing to keep planning events all that time and effort only to have to cancel due to weather.
