My blood is boiling!! How can the man who caused the worst equine welfare case this country has ever seen be let off early? He spent two weeks on the run which IMO automatically double his sentence, not halve it!

Here's the link : http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/news/397/301994.html

The things I would do to that man!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edited to add: I've just realised that he hasn't even served half of his prison sentence!! Only three months out of eight! Sorry for the exclamation mark overload.

Yep it's disgusting.

Great deterrent for others eh?

If im late paying my tax bill I would get more punishment than that

Was it actually worth tax payers money bringing the case to court?

Poor horses.

The British Justice system is a joke - he should have served the 8 months which in my opinion is simply not enough for the suffering he caused. :(

If he would like a holiday with us, I've got a lovely, dark, cold garage where he can stay, I'll even throw in a dirty bed and make sure he doesn't get any food or water. :D

It just makes a whole joke of the whole system. If someone had abused 150 people they would get hell of a lot longer than 8 months (well 12 weeks!!!) and I don't see why causing such suffering to 150 equine should be any different.
I read it H&H that it cost the RSPCA something like £2.3 million to prosecute him and investigate - and 12 weeks is all they have to show for it!  VERY annoyed at the outcome!

ARRGHHH do we have the worst legal system in the world??? He is a murderer, throw him in prison and throw away the key. This is shocking!
p.s wasn't he dodging taxes etc?? and he got away with that as well.

he won't have learnt his lesson either, he will just go straight back to dealing, it's all well and good saying he will be monitored and things but when he was on bail he went to sodding auctions and was handling horses even though it was against the bail conditions.

he's a nasty, vile, evil 'thing'.
