Do you think it is bad that he is so attached to me?

No, I think it's lovely. Amy was the same - I miss it. Thumper couldn't give a damn about me........

I love going to see my pony, I see him twice a day, every day apart from Thursdays when i don't go down in the evenings, and I always end up stressed and grumpy on Thursdays because I miss his cuddlyness!

Give it time, so horses take longer than others to get that attachment.
This summer was the first time Chloe gave any sign of recognising me - she nickered at me from the field when I came back from a week's holiday. We've had her over 7 years

I am exactly the same, i work mon-fri 9-5 so i hate it in the winter as im not out there for long, just to tuck her in and feed her. She is kept 8 miles away from where I live and in this horrible weather i have sleepless nights wandering if shes alright!

I cant wait till summer again I no its ages away but I spend every evening up there!

And no its not a bad thing for them to get attached, there no different to a dog or a cat..... well apart from the size issue and they cant sit on your lap!!!

I miss it loads if I haven't seen him while working away.
I have been known to go straight up to the yard at 10/11pm from the airport to give him a carrot.
How sad!

Oh yes...I see my retired girlie every day apart from Fridays..where she has one day without me being all gooey over her!!!
I even spy on her through the hedge when she is out just to watch her a bit more - most of the time she knows I am there and will either come up and 'discover' me or looks at me out the corner of her eye..until she cant bear the thought I might have a treat for her - which I always do anyway!!!

I keep Min at home now and its fantastic- My OH complains that he sees less of me now than when Min was on livery. A friend of mine keeps her horse with him and she had suggested we take it turn about to feed and check them morning and night but I can't share him. He also gets bedtime cuddles.
He's a very affectionate horse and I think he enjoys our quiet times as much as I do.

I haven't seen Maiden since Monday, and only twice during the last week. I don't like it, although not having to do evenings is really nice as I can eat dinner at a sensible time and get work done (yeah right)! I do miss her though, although that's mixed with missing having her at the yard and getting to ride her etc., which I've been missing since July. Not ridden her since February!

Yes, I dont see him everyday though coz I share him with my little sis but its only normally 1 morning and one evening a week that I dont see him. I love how hes always happy to see my, unlike my OH

One of the family goes & sorts him out in the morning & we go & see him every evening. Most evenings he will be either riden or lunged.....if for some reason I can't get down there I feel cheated! He is an integral part of our lives
