Seriously, the weather is a joke, the horses are bored, the ground is snowy, icy or rock hard but IM FED UP WITH FALLING OVER!!!!!

Now believe me, I am not overly clumsy but I have slipped over about 5 times in the last week ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Today I went proper A over T and banged my bum and elbow

Yes, although I did laugh this morning when the slightly overgrown golden retriver pup at the yard came bounding over to me and leapt up to say hello but as he did he slipped and fell on his backside

He look slightly disturbed and baffled for around 10 seconds before leaping up and skidding off to say hello to someone else!

I am fed up with walking strangely in an odd gait just to stay upright and on both feet.

Pet hate of mine at the moment is walking both my dogs on leads across the road from my house to the farm. Our roads are ploughed twice daily so you can imagine the road is a thick ice rink and both dogs overly eager to get to run on the farm. I have not fallen yet but gingerly walking across is getting a bit old.

When spring comes I shall be bounding across, next winter will be bliss as the new farm house will be finished built by then and no road will separate me from the farm :-)

I am very very tired of winter and snow, we have way too much in Norway :-(

The Dalmatian puppy Lotti is so funny trying bound about, our Border Collie Jake has become very talented in his 6 years of living on the farm, he rarely slips.

I'm tired of:

Skating across the ice with a full bucket of poo as I make my approach to the muckheap
Walking like Charlie Chaplin as I attempt to make my way up the what are now mountains and valleys of frozen ruts in the field to retrieve my horse
Defrosting taps
Changing endlessly into 14 layers of clothing to go in/out the house to go to the yard
Screaming silently with the pain in my fingertips when I defrost the car windscreen of ice in the morning so I don't wake or frighten the neighbours!

Apart from that it's perfect weather...for polar bears!

Yep, nearly came a cropper when bringing my daughters pony in from the field yesterday, my foot got stuck in the mud, he shot forwards and trod right on my ankle OUCH lucky he is a little pony and not my big mare! The skidded big time this morning carrying a water bucket from the emergency water butt and ended up on my bum OUCH again!

Also fed up of having to wear gloves....i hate it wearing them, and of constantly worrying about having enough water when the pipes freeze. I hate winter so much!
