Is anyone else's horse moulting?

My horse seems to have started moulting this week - he has a trace clip and I curry combed him last night as he finds the body brush too ticklish straight away (he's a tb x) and lots of hair came out.

Has anyone else's started moutling?

My boy has been moulting like crazy for about a week, my TB isn't yet..

My mare is moulting like mad just now. She also has a trace clip.

I feel like a prit-stick - constantly caked in all her hair!!

He would be if I hadn't of given him a hunter clip... But is moulting on his legs and saddle patch - I hate it!!!!

blue has a full clip but his legs and face is moulting like mad!!

Glad it's not just my boy then. It's a nightmare at this time of year - that fine layer of mud on your face from brushing his clean and now hair all over the place - roll on the summer!

I've only had him a few weeks and was too late to clip him so when he has a hair cut next year we'll do something more drastic as he'll be working alot more

All of mine are to some extent except for one of the Shetties. She always likes to hold on to her coat longer than the rest though just to be absolutely certain winter is over

Ours have been for about 3 weeks

Loads, everything I own is covered in white hair (and black and brown, can't escape the hair showing with coloureds!)

Yep! I have left him with no rug this winter to keep his weight in check and he grew the thickest and longest coat I have ever known him too...black hair everywhere here we come!! But at least it means spring is around the corner...yippee!
