Is anyone here from/near Malton?

I'll be moving down in late July and would love to know if there is anyone here who lives there so I can make friends and suss out the area properly

(My inlaws live there, so I've spent a few summers there, but I'm moving down for good now)

I've only lived up here since last September but I like it, especially as our ponies are kept at home now

Malton is fantastic, I live about 20 miles away and love spending hours and hours there. It's fab for horsey shopping, there's Derby House, Robinsons/BATA and Parnaby's. Plus a fantastic shop called Yates that sells everything you could ever possibly need. And a market.
After shopping, go for a meal at the tex-mex El Gringo's, or the tapas bar or the thai. Then catch a movie in the restored old-fashioned cinema.

You will love it!
